A Typical Day
We follow a routine, however we are not on a strict time schedule. If your child is used to napping at certain times, that can certainly be accommodated. If you prefer to read your child's cues and put them to sleep when they seem tired, that's great too!
Here is what our daily routine looks like:
7:00 Breakfast & Clean up
8:00 Circle time (songs, stories)
8:30 Free play
9:30 Morning snack
10:00 Outdoor play (weather permitting)
11:30 Wash up & Free play
12:00 Lunch & Clean up
1:00 Nap or Quiet time
2:30 Afternoon snack
3:00 Outdoor play (weather permitting)
4:00 Clean up and final circle time

Outdoor play will be substituted for crafts or free play if the weather keeps us indoors.
The routine may vary from day to day, week to week, season to season. This is the average layout of a day in my home.
